Jaycees! If you find an error on the web site – misspellings, punctuation slip-up, link not found blunder (404 errors), busted email address, misspelled name, imprecise longitude or latitude, mislaid pictures, grievous boo-boo, slander, noun/verb mismatches, literary allusions gone askew, erroneous lyrics to songs, distorted words, sentence fragments, vulgar expletives, lack of focus, blurry vision etc. -- please send me an email at robertxgillis@aol.com . I will correct the error, giving us a better web site, and add a gold star to your name here.

Goldstar Rules
  • Only the first person to report the same error gets a star, no honorable mentions.
  • The error will be fixed but I don't keep a list of what was fixed.
  • While it can be argued that ANY error should count as a gold star, there is a fine line between correcting a spelling error in someone's report/CPG/submission and REWRITING, and I do not want to proofread to the point where someone comes back and says, "That's not what I meant," or, "That's not what I said." For this reason, as a matter of policy, I do not correct other people's submissions/reports. That means that errors in the Wise Fox, Chairman Planning Guides, survey responses, Wise Fox calendar, Who's Who, book club information, and errors in the individual area reports (CD, W&M, etc) do not count for gold stars. I'll always be happy to fix any obvious errors, but I don't believe it's fair to subject another person's work to such an intense level of scrutiny. I hope everyone understands.
  • Server errors don’t count; if you can’t get to the site I’ll find out why but I have no control over a server located in another state.
  • Likewise, sorry, but the fact that the graphics load slowly isn’t an error, just an indication that you have a slow dial up modem. Get cable or DSL, OK?
  • Spelling counts! Grammar is negotiable.
  • Certain words can be spelled more than one way -- for example: color or colour. If the "other" spelling is generally accepted (and means the same thing), it's not an error. See also: Theater and Theatre.
  • Only Foxboro Jaycees can play. Your actual mileage may vary.
  • Factual errors are very important – for example, if someone is mis-credited or un-credited please let me know. Equally important is if a person's name is misspelled. You work hard for the Jaycees -- it's only right that your name is spelled correctly here.
  • Obvious exaggeration, "facts" on April Fool's pages, (and some haunted house pages) details of frog stories, and blatant parody are not errors. Obviously, we don't really have a waffle iron repair fund raiser. Obviously, no Jaycee has ever murdered a patron at our haunted house (we leave that dirty work to the evil clown in the sewer).
  • If you find a page not listed on the "site map" let me know and I'll add it and give you the gold star.
  • Tell me if pictures are missing or if picture graphics don't appear.
  • There are probably some broken links on the site -- each one found is worth a gold star.
  • Calendar dates that have passed are not errors; for example, if today is March 9 and the calendar still reads that an event will be held on March 6, that's still there for a few days so people know it was held.
  • Every error found and fixed means a better web site -- your finding errors is VERY much appreciated!
  • "Stars" are listed in order of the first time they found an error.
