Or maybe you\u2019ve already volunteered but aren\u2019t sure how to help? Here\u2019s a guide to get to know your mentee and support their start in the Foxboro Jaycees.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>1. Establish Communication<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Exchange phone numbers, email addresses, and other contact information.<\/li>\n<li>Call or email to let them know about upcoming events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h3>2. Help Them Get Oriented<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Sit next to them at General Meetings (GMs) and mingle with them at projects.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce them to other Jaycees, especially those with shared interests.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure they have a copy of the <strong>New Member Guide<\/strong> (available on the website) and offer to review it with them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h3>3. Suggest Ways to Get Involved<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Projects that need manpower.<\/li>\n<li>Fun projects they can attend to get familiar with the chapter.<\/li>\n<li>Committees they could join.<\/li>\n<li>Projects needing chairpeople or co-chairs.<\/li>\n<li>Open Board Positions (suggest starting as a Director).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h3>4. Support Their Leadership<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Suggest a few \u2018easy\u2019 projects they could chair or co-chair as a first-timer and offer to co-chair with them.<\/li>\n<li>Invite them to join a project you are running.<\/li>\n<li>If they are chairing a project, ask:\n<ul>\n<li>Have they found the relevant CPG online?<\/li>\n<li>How are things going?<\/li>\n<li>What help do they need?<\/li>\n<li>Do they need internal chapter resources (e.g., previous chairmen)?<\/li>\n<li>Do they need external resources\/contacts (e.g., media outlets)?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h3>5.
